The replacement for our popular audio/video modulator VAM 420 NF which was displayed at the ANGA Cable 2011 is available from stock now. The new VAM 420 NG is an audio/video modulator for the use between a video camera and the television for a variety of applications in the private and commercial sector.

• The modulator output is adjacent channel compatible
• It is either a wall or DIN rail mounting possible
• Internal test pattern generator can be activated by function key
• There is a possibility to connect an additional terrestrial signal
• TWIN modulator (2 video inputs + 2 Stereo audio inputs)

The new Compact Headend BluBox 8/16 which was showed at the ANGA Cable 2011 is available from stock now.

The BluBox 8/16 is a Compact Headend for conversion of 8 or 16 transponders from      DVB-S(2) into QAM.

For the successful calibration of satellite systems, SPAUN introduced the new low-cost SPAROS SAT HD satellite meter, which is able to measure and display digital satellite signals. A fast real-time spectrum analysis, as well as a constellation diagram complete this product. The operation is normally simple and intuitive and is very similar to the models SPAROS 609/611 CA HD.

The focus of this year's ANGA Cable trade fair, however, was on the new Blubox 8 / 16, a compact DVB-S (2) in QAM headend which supports for up to 8 transponders per modulatorcard. Thus, it is possible to convert 16 transponders (about 120 TV programs) economically priced by using just 2 modulator cards. Two redundant power supplies ensure a high reliability. If one power supply fails, the second power supply will continue its service. The administration is done through an intuitive web interface and can be performed with any laptop without using an additional software.

SPAUN presented an interesting possibility of signal transmission by using the Blubox 8 / 16 in combination with the optical transmitter SOTx 1310607 NF and receiver SORx 1310607 NF. So it is possible to transmit a headend signal over a distance of several kilometers and to split up to 32 nodes without a high loss.

The UNiTap with 10 dB tap loss and DC pass on trunk and tap and the SAT wall socket with 3 outlets UNiSocket 310, UNiSocket 314 and UNiSocket 318 are optimized for SAT-CR applications.

The LTE low pass filter SMF 790 has a stop band from 822-1000 MHz.

New firmware 3.0 for TV Signal Analyser SPAROS is available now.

The additional functions in firmware:

• Improved performance of the constellation diagram
• Improvement of the SAT-CR auto scan detection mode
• It's now possible to enter the SAT-CR userbank frequencies with the keyboard
• An acoustic beep tone in relation to the signal level can be switched on or off.
  This function is only available in the level measurement menu (Standard setting = beep tone off)

From now on the new optical transmission system from SPAUN electronic is available.

The HF-signals arriving at the LNB are prepared by the transmitter SOTx 1310607 NF and sent as optical signals in the wavelength of 1310 Nm over a fibre optics cable to the optical receiver SORx 1310607 NF.

The optical receiver puts the input signals back to up to 4 fibre optics cables again into the HF-frequency range for a classical coaxial signal distribution.

The advantage of this system is a very small absorption of the laser signal in the fibre optics cable. Radio and TV-signals can be transfered thus low-loss over long distances. Beyond that an optical signal is not impaired by HF-spurious frequencies.

For some days SPAUN electronic delivers the new mains powered amplifier SVN 231 F.

The SVN 231 F is available as the first SPAUN amplifier with two switchable modes of operation for various application possibilities.

In the mode A of operation the SVN 231 F is operated as classical signal amplifier with an input and an output. 22 kHz and DiSEqC signals will pass on internally.

The mode of operation B makes available two seperate signal inputs for SAT IF signals and terrestrial signals. The signals are channeled together, amplified over a multiband diplexer and passed on to an output.

For SAT IF signals on the input side an attenuator is available as well as a slope control. For the terrestrial frequency range an attenuator is available.

The amplification of the signals takes place practically in splitband technology. Terrestrial signals are amplified with 20 dB, SAT IF signals however with 30 dB.

Furthermore if necessary a remote power supply voltage can be activated of 18 V/400 mA. This can be switched and/or deactivated alternatively on the SAT IF input to the LNB supply or however on the output of the SVN 231 F.
